How can I invest in the Balmain AQUA Income Trusts? The Balmain AQUA Income Trusts are not currently accepting applications and the Product Disclosure Statement has been removed from the market since 25 July 2008. For more information please refer to correspondence dated 31 July 2008 and 30 September 2008 located on the news page of this website.
How do I make a withdrawal? The Balmain AQUA Income Trusts suspended daily redemptions on and from 25 July 2008. Since December 2008 quarterly redemption offers were made to investors. At the unit holder meetings held in April 2010, new redemption structures were put in place and received overwhelming unitholder support. Details of the new structures were provided to all investors in the Notice of Meeting sent to investors in March 2010, copies of which can be found in the news section of this website.
Please refer to the redemptions page of this website for more information.
Am I able to redeem my investment if I am in financial hardship? Special Hardship redemptions from the Trust are applicable to unitholders in both the Balmain AQUA Income and High Income Trusts. Unitholders must submit a Financial Hardship request and each request is assessed and processed under Hardship guidelines. The Hardship application forms and more information on Hardship can be obtained by contacting our Client Services team on 1800 225 624.
How do I change my details on my account? You can change your details by writing to us, quoting your Investor ID and the details that you want to change. We have prepared a form to assist you with this, if you wish, available on the Forms page of this website.
Please send your request to: Balmain AQUA c/o - Mainstream FundBPO GPO Box 4968, Sydney NSW 2001 Email: UnitRegistry@mainstreambpo.com
How do I transfer a specified amount of assets to a different account? Transfers have temporarily been suspended from 14 June 2013 until the September Quarter 2013. We will write to investors to advise when transfers will recommence. You are required to provide proof of whether the beneficial and/or legal ownership of the units have changed such as a stamped Standard Transfer form from the NSW Office of State Revenue, because the units are held in NSW. You will also need to provide a reference to the account the units are being transferred to and from, this can be the Investor ID supplied by Balmain AQUA which is available on the top right hand corner of your statements. A copy of the Standard Transfer Form along with instructions on how to process the transfer is available on the Forms page of this website, or from the link below.
Since the suspension of applications and redemptions, we also require all off market transfers to also complete a Off Market Transfer Form - with transactions processed at the discretion of the Responsible Entity for the Trusts. This is in order to ensure that both the transferee and transferor are both aware of the current status of the Trust/s at the time of the transfer. The form which is required to be completed is available on the Forms page of this website.
What documentation do I need for a change of Trustee? Proof of the change is required. Some examples of proof include either an amendment of trust deed or a company certificate. If there is a change of beneficial owner of the assets, it will be treated as a Standard Transfer (please see above explanation).
When are distributions paid? From July 2013, monthly distribution will cease. Please refer to the letter sent to investors in May 2013 in the 'News' section of the website.
How do I notify my Tax File Number (TFN) or exemption? All notifications of TFNs must be in writing. Collection of TFN information is authorised by the Tax Legislation and its use and disclosure is strictly regulated by the Tax Legislation and Privacy Act.
It is not an offence to choose not to provide your TFN, ABN or exemption, however if you do not, tax may be deducted from your distribution at the highest marginal tax rate.
What is the process regarding Deceased Estates? You may attain a copy of our “Deceased Estate Requirements” from the Forms page of this website.
