The Deal

Balmain assisted a developer with providing finance to construct 30 units in Brisbane. Once completed the same developer approached Balmain to arrange a refinance on 12 of 30 newly completed units. Balmain was able to structure a deal with two lenders to refinance six units each and have the interest capitalised in the loan amount. This allowed the developer a further 12 months to sell down their stock and maximise their profits by not having to discount their units.
